In 2016 Lydia came to Working Word with 12 years’ experience in delivering high-profile PR campaigns and events across Wales. A CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) Member and a fluent Welsh speaker, Lydia thrives on challenges and is very goal-oriented.
Lydia’s inaugural major experience in the PR and Events industry was as Coordinator for The Royal Gala for the Opening Weekend of Wales Millennium Centre. Since this she has managed numerous creative PR Campaigns, for clients such as BAFTA Cymru, Llangollen International Eisteddfod, theatr na nÓg, S4C as well as Only Men Aloud and Wynne Evans, the latter two resulting in the artists securing the number one spot in the classical charts. In the ‘events world’ Lydia has also managed numerous conferences, award ceremonies, experiential stunts and performances across Wales, making good use of her meticulous attention to detail as well as her health & safety and risk assessment qualifications.
In addition to the aforementioned PR work, Lydia has successfully created and managed bi-lingual campaigns for a very diverse range of clients, to include gymnastics and cricket professionals, construction and luxury property specialists’ as well as religious communities.
Lydia also managed a private view at the Groucho Club’s Pop Up at Hay Festival for portrait artist Janet Lance Hughes collection, Welsh Icons, in conjunction with securing the sittings of said Icons: Bryn Terfel, Jonathan Pryce and Michael Sheen to name but a few. As a Jones, Lydia likes to keep up with the worlds most renowned Joneses, having managed schedules for Grace Jones, Catherine Zeta and Tom Jones (The Musical).
